Not Enough Hours In The Day

Well I picked up World of Warcraft. It is
pretty awesome so far. I have already made it
to level 13. There is so much to this game.
Crafting weapons and armor, training beasts,
and numerous quests make this one time
consuming endeavor. Now that I have this game,
I have the uneasy feeling that my GPA may take
a nosedive. Why must they release such awesome
stuff? Well, Locke finally finished the
character pages for Leena and Hobbes. I will
be working on turning them into some nifty
wall papers. I hope you like the strip today.

The World Cannot Teach Me

We're getting closer to introducing Keys.
He's one of my favorite characters to draw
and he should add some great humor to the
strip. Also the Hobbes and Leena character
pages are up. They turned out fairly well.
I'm rather fond of the coloring. I'm slowly
getting better at this whole comic thing.

Well the year's about up and school is
almost out. I have to say its been a pretty
alright year. Now I won't do this very often,
because I find the idea of complaining to
people a waste of time. I don't want to bitch
about my life (unless its about video games),
but I figure I got nothing else to do in this
space so here goes:

My teachers are all fine, except for one. This
has been a recurring factor through my career
as an art student, but I have not met an art
teacher who has actually tried to teach me
something. I don't know if its just this lousy
town or if its like this everywhere, but all
through high school and now into college, my
art teacher SUCKS. Using all caps does not
emphasize the amount of how much I hate this
man. He doesn't actually teach anything. He
pulls a lesson from god knows where, and says
"Do it." He then sits down and begins to read.
Now I already know how to do the lesson, having
had done the whole damn semester during high
school, but thats not what gets me. Its the
fact that he's not even trying. He's not
telling certain steps that need to be taken to
get from point A to point B. And when someone
does ask a question he acts like its some big
deal. Like telling students how to do something
wasn't in his job description. You're a freaking
teacher! Teach them the steps on how to draw,
don't just hand out an assignment and expect
them to know how to do it. Students are there to
learn, they have very little prior knowledge. So
I just want to say thank you Mr. Chinov, for
giving me another horrible art class experience.
Dick.

Again, in the future this space will be reserved
more toward video games and the like. I just had
to get that off my chest.
